The Band

Melodic death metal band from Prague, Czech Republic. Active since 2024.

Mohyla focuses on straightforward, catchy melodic death metal compositions—sometimes evoking a melancholic mood, other times delivering fast, headbanging riffs. Originally, Mohyla was a purely musical project founded by Marek Brabec in 2017, with no intention of becoming a full-fledged band. Marek took his time, gradually composing songs and developing musical ideas that would only come to life much later.

Over time, it became clear that Mohyla had the potential to be more than just a personal project. Marek met Standa, and together they introduced Mohyla as a serious band in 2024, bringing in their long-time musical collaborators and friends—Ondra on bass, David on drums, and Igelgrim on vocals.

In early 2025, Dániel joined the band as the new lead singer, just as they began recording their first full-length album.

Standa

guitar

Stanislav Toblakai Uhlárik – Master of the seven strings, emerging from the shadows of the Slovak mountains. Torn between his passion for death metal and his love of thrash, he found a new purpose when he ignited a spark in Marek, ushering in a new era of melodic death metal.

Drawing inspiration from Death, Trivium, Children of Bodom, and others, he is here to conquer the soul of every fan. A lover of IPA, (board) games, and cooking.

David

drums

David ArtKiller Urban – First drawn to the call of the drums at the age of 14, he took his first steps in music at an art school, where he studied for a year and a half and learned the basics of drumming. Soon after, he plunged into the world of black metal, playing in Bellifer and Delzvan. Later, he joined Odraedir and took a brief detour with Welicorussbefore finding his true path.

Influenced by Archspire, Slaughter to Prevail, Khors, and many others, David’s drumming is defined by intricate cymbal work and dynamic fills. A lover of homemade pizza and big butts, because balance is everything.

Dániel

vocals

Dániel Gardenö – Dan has been involved in music since his teenage years. He started out on guitar but soon realized his true place was behind the mic, in the spotlight. It all began at a party that set things in motion.

His biggest musical inspiration is the godfather of death metal, Chuck Schuldiner, while his clean vocals are heavily influenced by bands like In Flames and Deftones.

When he’s not working in a research lab or producing strange sounds on stage, he enjoys sailing, hiking, swimming, playing basketball, and diving into World of Warcraft.

Ondra

bass

Ondra Hecík Žádný – His journey with the bass guitar began by accident, mistaking it for a regular guitar. But fate had other plans. The moment he picked it up, he fell in love with the deep, resonant sound and never looked back.

Over the years, he has played in several bands, including Welicoruss, Arthedain, Thanallian, and Carpatia Castle. A true melodeath and breakdown enthusiast, he balances his passion for music with a love for sports and physical challenges.

Marek

guitar

Marek – A devoted musician since his twenties, he first picked up the guitar at the age of 15. What fascinated him the most wasn’t just playing, but the power to craft riffs and compose music—something he considers the heart and soul of any band.

Beyond his obsession with songwriting, he’s equally addicted to coffee, mountain hikes, melodic death metal, The Witcher books and watches. Because every riff, like every timepiece, needs precision.
